Q: Where is Gold Buckle?
A: Gold Buckle Barrel Horses is located 30 minutes from DFW airport and minutes away from Equine Express Headquarters, making transportation a snap!

Q: How are horses chosen for the Gold Buckle Program?

A: Great question!  And, an excellent opportunity to share part of her testimony.  Kendra’s life-long experience and an intricate network of trusted peers in the horse industry are two vital parts of her business.  Kendra believes having a heart for God truly enhances her eye for horses.  She feels that each horse passes through her barn for a reason.  Her life has been richly blessed by the many wonderful people she has encountered over the years.  Kendra enjoys each day of barrel racing, knowing God has control of her life and her horses.   Each Gold Buckle horse is personally approved by Kendra before entering the program.

Q: How can Gold Buckle help me?

Q: What can I expect when I try a Gold Buckle Barrel Horse?

A: Reality check.  When first riding a Gold Buckle Barrel Horse and training with Kendra Dickson, most riders are pleasantly surprised with how smooth, easy and effortless each horse executes the barrel pattern.  Be prepared that you may be called upon to take your own riding skills to the next level in order to succeed in the Gold Buckle Program.  Kendra will assist you in selecting a horse to meet your personal barrel racing goals as best she can, within your budget.

Q: What is a 1D horse?

A: We would like every person to be aware that today's "1-2-3-4 D" barrel racing formats can be extremely variable.  Though we respect the fact that there are some consistencies within local regions and various associations, it must be noted that there is little standardization in the sport.  Ground conditions, weather, rider ability/talent, experience, size of the arena and many other unforseen factors can all play a part in barrel racing results. For example, the state of Texas sends more contestants to the NFR each year, per capita, and we lay claim to more World titles in the horse industry than any other where else on earth.

Q: Can I try a Gold Buckle horse on the clock?

A: It has been our experience that it takes much more than one hour, one day or one week to "gel" with a horse and become a cohesive team.  For that reason, we advise prospective buyers to set realistic goals.  We ask that you please respect our position of liability, along with our expertise in creating winning teams the Gold Buckle way.  That being said, we do not endorse people who push for premature results by expecting to see horses on the clock.  Gold Buckle Ranch offers excellent facilities, with deep sandy footing in our indoor arena and harder rodeo-style ground in the outdoor area.  We also have access to hundreds of acres filled with trails, trees, cattle, deer and other wildlife for test driving horses away from the  barn.  Perhaps you have shopped all the rest and are searching for the best, Gold Buckle offers an impressive track record and proven results of those who have chosen our program.

Q: Can I purchase over the phone?

A: Yes! Gold Buckle Barrel Horses are offered for sale over-the-phone.  Many times a quick-sale price can be negotiated.   See next segment regarding payment options.

Q: What kind of payment is accepted?

A: Gold Buckle accepts cash, credit and/or electronic transfer payments. Personal and cashier checks will not accepted.

Q: After the sale, what can I expect?

A: Unlike the conventional style of buying a horse, the Gold Buckle experience doesn't have to end with the conclusion of a sale.  We offer free clinics on a regular basis to those who are interested in honing their horsemanship and barrel racing skills, optional one-on-one private consulation, dvd instruction, phone contact and access to Kendra via email.  In fact, much of her time during the week is spent communicating with Gold Buckle riders, encouraging and assisting them as much as possible.
